Section 278 of R A 7160

SEC. 278. Duty of Registrar of Deeds and Notaries Public to Assist the Provincial, City or Municipal Assessor. - It shall be the duty of the Registrar of Deeds and notaries public to furnish the provincial, city or municipal assessor with copies of all contracts selling, transferring, or otherwise conveying, leasing, or mortgaging real property received by, or acknowledged before them.

  1. Although provided for under this provision, I have not seen lawyers furnishng the Assessor of these Deed of sales or any ther mode of transfer of real properties. What I knew is that the City Engineer provides the Building Permit, the Bureau of Lands
    the approved subdivision plans and the Register of Deeds the title of transferred properties to new owners
